I do painting conservation & restoration for museums, I typically wear a 2.5x headband magnifier but when I need ultra close inspection of under layers and pigment inspection I wear this, I keep 10x on one eye and 25x on the other nice having two different high power lenses available when needed.

I was hoping I could use both eyes, but the focal length is to close, so this is a one eye tool, however gives you a very nice detailed view, I loaded the 10x in one eye and 15x in the other, allowed me to quickly inspect and repair soldering points on a circuit board. Very light weight a little awkward at first but I quickly warmed to these as they made my work more efficient.
