RLC-L Reducing Lens, or often called a reducing glass, this is a double concave lens makes things appear further away instead of closer as a conventional convex magnifier would do, it will allow you to see your artwork from a distance perspective symmetry and all, while being close to your artwork, its the opposite of a magnifier it allows you to critique your artwork for visual balance, symmetry, distortions and errors. Widely used by artists, sculptures, graphic artists and printers. This unique 2.2x reducing Concave lens allows you to "step back" from your work without moving from your chairs, allows for instant evaluation of your artwork for proportions, colors, intensities while being close. This lens is not a Magnifier it does not Magnify, it reduces! A Reducing lens is simple to use, hold lens approx. 6 or more inches from the object and it makes the item appear that its at a much further distance. This Lens is made of high quality optical grade acrylic and is 3" in diameter. Just to clarify this lens is the opposite of a magnifier, it will make things look smaller & more distant, so you don't have to get up and walk away to view your artwork or sculpture from a distance. Magnifier comes in leatherette pouch. Made in USA.

I am new to sculpting and ceramics and this allows me to get a proper "view" of my work while still sitting in front and working on the piece. I have a smaller one too that's more powerful but for some views the bigger lens is helpful. Not sure why these are hard to find this is the largest one I have been able to find.
